22 October 2022・Location: Sendai Umino-Mori Aquarium, Miyagino Ward, Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture...
Enjoy the very best sake from different regions of Miyagi Prefecture at Sendia's Aquarium Sake Event!
The Sake Night Aquarium is an annual event running since 2017, reserved for adults over the age of twenty. It was originally created in the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 as a way to support and showcase Miyagi Prefecture's local breweries.
Featured are six breweries from Miyagi Prefecture's representative port towns, notably Otokoyama Honten (男山本店) and Kakuboshi (角星) from Kesennuma, Hirakou Shuzo (平孝酒造) from Ishinomaki, Saura (佐浦) and Abekan Shuzo (阿部勘酒造) from Shiogama, and Sasaki Shuzoten (佐々木酒造店) from Yuriage. What's more, guest breweries will also showcase the unforgettable flavors and aromas of their excellent sake! Keep an eye out for special guests such as the Ichinoka (一ノ蔵) brewery from Osaki and the Nakayu (中勇酒造店) brewery from Kami! The breweries will all personally be serving their creations themselves to share the wonders of Japanese sake with guests.
There will also be a special food menu exclusively for Sake Night Aquarium guests at the food court (first floor), featuring dishes from Miyagi Prefecture that are commonly paired with Japanese sake.
※You are free to visit the aquarium on the day of your visit.
